Some Causing Factors of Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease

Although pathogenesis of Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease (ACKD), most scholars agree on some factors which might open the mechanism of Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease. In clinical practices, Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease will be induced when creatinine clearance rate (Ccr) is less than 52-71ml/min. Scholars consider it might be concerned with five factors in follow.
The lack of blood and oxygen
As Kidney Diseases or Kidney Failure develops, renal tissues will be in severe lack of blood and oxygen, which might arouse changes of hemodynamics and promote cysts to grow. It is reported that patients with renalarteriolosclerosis have high risk of Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease, for kidneys seriously demand of blood and oxygen in renalarteriolosclerosis.
Blocking in kidney tubules
Urine usually decreases among patients with Kidney Diseases or Kidney Failure, which weakens the ability of kidney tubules washing away calcium salt and necrotic cells and form cylindruria. Cylindruria will arise blood pressure in kidney tubules, which promote urine to deposit and cause cysts. B2 micro globulin makes microlithiasis block kidney tubules, causing renal cysts.
Dialysis
During dialysis, there might be some waste products not removed like polyamine, depositing in body and causing cysts to form in the kidneys. With carcinogenicity, dimethyl nitrosamine (DMN) and disinfectants in the water used in dialysis might stimulate cysts to grow in kidneys.
Renal function decreasing
At the End Stage Kidney Failure, few normal nephrons are left, making mesangial cells and epithelial cells proliferate to make up for the lost renal function. Decreasing glomeruli filtration rate (GFR) will promote the secretion of growth hormone and parathyroid hormone, which both boost proliferation and transformation of renal tissues. In other words, decreasing renal function plays an important role in forming cysts.
Production of certain substances
In researching Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease, scholars found that the severity of tubulointerstitial lesion is in line with extracellular matrix proliferating. They think the some abnormal constituents break the normal structure of renal tissues, causing cysts. They agree on excessive nitric oxide promoting canceration of epithelial cells which concerns the growth of cysts in kidneys of patients with Kidney Disease or Kidney Failure.
