Taboos for People with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)

Taboos for People with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
offal foods
Cooked foods which is made of animal offal are not allowed to be eaten by people with PKD, especially the animal livers. In the course of butchering animals, many toxins are left in entrails, particularly liver. Detoxication is the major function of liver, that is to say, most of the metabolic toxic substances are remained in the liver. Therefore, eating these foods means increasing the burden of our kidneys. As to people with PKD, their disease will be deteriorated invisibly.
High-protein foods
High-protein foods should be a taboo for people with any kind of kidney disease, not only for these who have PKD. In normal condition, protein can not be stored in our body and redundant protein is usually decomposed. Then the metabolin are excreted through kidneys, thereby, ingesting too much protein will aggravate the kidney burden, and thus to exacerbate our disease.
Fermented foods
The common fermented foods include fermented bean curd and rotten egg. Eating these foods will speed up the enlargement of cysts.
