Polycystic Kidney Disease causes back pain, which can be sharp pain or dull pain. back pain is a common and typical symptoms of PKD, but not every one will certainly suffer from it. The followings are the several major condtions that Polycystic Kidney Disease causes back pain.
Kidney Infection: when Polycystic Kidney Disease is associated with kidney infection, back pain usually appears. The pain is sharp and sometimes, it is hard to bear.
enlarged cysts: cysts in PKD enlarged over time and for these growing in the surface of kidney, they press the nerves in the renal capsule, which can cause pain in the location of kidney.
Kidney Stones/Calculi: Polycystic Kidney Disease is easily to be companied by kidney stone. When these stones stuck in the ureter, pain appears. Also, if the stone is big, less urine also appears.
Back pain, as a typical symptom of PKD, affect patient's life seriously, so we need to take some measures in advanced to prevent it.
